Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument is Under Attack – Help Defend It Now!
The Trump Administration is threatening to overturn Maine’s new National Monument. At the request of Governor Paul LePage, the Department of Interior (DOI) included Katahdin Woods & Waters on a list of 27 monuments to be “reviewed.” DOI is seeking comments during a 60-day public comment period. Depending on the outcome of this process, DOI Secretary Ryan Zinke could recommend that Maine’s National Monument be changed, or possibly even abolished. We must not let this happen!
Please act now to tell the Trump Administration to keep its hands off Katahdin Woods & Waters. The Natural Resources Council of Maine has made it extremely easy to comment. CLICK HERE to add your comments to those opposing change to the monument status.
